Saltspring Island August 2011

We had some special vacations this summer. We started with a trip to Vancouver and then Vancouver Island where we visited Kathy and Jet. Then, at the end of August, we travelled to Saltspring Island which is one of our very favourite places in the world. Highlights included going to the Teehouse Coffee House a lot, watching the ferries, visiting the fairies - they were never home or did not answer, but we knocked on the doors just the same, meeting new, fabulous, kind and generous people, hiking all the way up Mount Erskine, sharing campfires, and listening in horror as the island deer chewed their way through an entire $5.00 loaf of hippy bread. The whole trip was awe-inspiring.
