Amsterdam part I

What a welcoming city! The shutters are always open to admit light, guests, pianos... Note the hook on the top of each building. It's used for winching in goods through the windows. Because there's no way much is coming up the ladder - I mean stairs.

Clayton is enjoying one of the delicious beers of Holland. Rhodri is enjoying his soother. He no longer partakes in this. Perhaps he is hoping the soother will be replaced with some tasty amber liquid. He is decked out in his best pink Hawaiian dancing turtles onesie. In the words of one  tastful Dutch waiter "Pink - it is fancy for boys now."

In the lower, right hand quadrant you will see a man in shorts and a light red Ministry of Silly Walks T-shirt. Behind/in front of him is me. I am wearing my jeans rolled up, a flowered shirt and Rhodri, although we are all facing away on our way to some Dutch place. We are walking over one of the many canals. Apparently there are over a million bicycles in Amsterdam and over 10,000 at the bottom of the canals at any given time.

AmsureDamn Hot here in Vancouver. I can write more about Amsuredamn... for example, Amsuredamn well waiting to see pictures of the Dude standing, climbing, playing in the knife drawer, etc. Another great day will be the Not just the day he walks or runs, but the day he can outrun his Grosspa, although Amsuredamn not looking forward to it! (I don't think so anyway... All those things are bittersweet!)
